I grew up making my allowance picking up pecans and camping under mesquite trees. Combining these two ingredients is so nostalgic that I can’t help but take my time with the beer. We source the mesquite bean flour from Austin-based Miche Bread, and the pecans from Oliver Pecan Company in San Saba. The fiber in mesquite bean pods taste like toffee and the two native ingredients ripen at roughly the same time, making this pecan brittle-esque brown ale a natural combination for these two Texas ingredients.
