My brother first introduced me to homebrewing with a red ale
brewed with my dad on his back porch. We’ve been fascinated with red ales ever since, so this is probably the most picked over and tweaked recipe we have. The culmination of so many trials is this ruby hued brew with honey sweet and biscuit flavors from the toasted malts and just the lightest tough of hops to balance it out. This is as beautiful beer to look at as it is to drink due to it’s subtle complexity. I may never stop tweaking it, but that’s what makes brewing fun.
