At the east end of our property sits a small field with a rainwater collection tank and wildlife water station, beautiful morning sun, and access to both our wildflower field and permaculture gardens. These conditions create an ideal home for honey bees. We hope to start small with one or two hives and see how well the bees like their new home. With the year round food supply, water and sunlight, we expect these hives will thrive. If they do then we will continue to grow their number. We have partnered with Buzz in the Hills to help care for and maintain these hives. We hope that these efforts will help pollinate all the flora of the land, both native and in our gardens, as well as ultimately provide the kitchen and brewery with an ethical source of honey.
